2024 Kia EV9 Price and Release Date
Kia is working hard to expand its range of electric cars. After introducing vehicles like the EV6 and Kia Niro EV, the South Korean automaker is looking to release an all-electric mid-size SUV with the EV9. The three electric SUVs in the lineup will use Kia’s E-GMP platform and be similar in size to the midsize Telluride. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming 2024 Kia EV9. Kia has released its first images of the EV9.
The electric SUV looks like an adaptation of the current Telluride with similar lines and features. The front of the EV9 has a striking design with small square headlights and S-shaped daytime running lights. The EV9 has a tough skin and a great barrier. The rear of the EV9 has Y-shaped taillights, a rear spoiler and a simple rear hatch design.
The interior of the EV9 has a modern, premium design. The air-level dash has rectangular air vents and only a few physical controls. Two screens integrated into one panel control the dashboard. The SUV has a large storage space and center console, while the SUV has a flexible seat that can be turned. Information about the infotainment system of the 2024 EV9 is not yet available. All we know is that the SUV will come with two 12.3-inch touchscreens. The SUV will come with a new generation of infotainment system that will be different from other Kias.
Official specifications for the EV9 electric train are not yet available. We expect the mid-range electric SUV to be offered with multiple powertrains. A basic model with one electric motor in the rear and a model with two motors in all drives. Horsepower can range from 200 to 400. For now, all Kia will say about the EV9 is that it will have a range of around 300 kilometers.
Kia hasn’t released any information about what kind of safety features the EV9 has. We are sure that the electric SUV will come with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and automatic advanced assistance. We may see the 2024 Kia EV9 arrive before the end of the year.
Official pricing isn’t available yet, but the EV9 could range from $56,000 to $73,000. Other electric SUVs on sale include Rivian R1S, Genesis Electrified GV70, Cadillac Lyriq, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model Y and Nissan Ariya.
